Unknown person continues to misrepresent himself and company as an endorsed vendor or CAWA employee - please assist .....

Another CAWA member notified us that they received a call from a person identifying himself as Steve Garcia (last call was from Steve Gonzales), claiming to be endorsed by CAWA and serving 700 of our members. 

This individual IS NOT employed by CAWA, and IS NOT in any way affiliated or endorsed by CAWA.  He is misrepresenting himself and his company.  With the help of our member, enough information was gathered and our legal consultant has requested that he discontinue his contact of our members and his misrepresentation.  

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be Steve Garcia or Gonzales, or another individual claiming to work for or be be endorsed by CAWA, help us by doing the following:

1. Gather as much information as possible; i.e. name, company name, telephone number, email, etc.
2. Forward all information to CAWA as soon as you receive the call.
3. Forward information to Rodney Pierini - admin@cawa.org, or Julie Snyder - programs@cawa.org or call the office at 800-332-2292.

If this contact continues, we will continue to pursue them legally, as appropriate.

Rest assured, CAWA endorses only quality companies with the highest of integrity.  Also, it is CAWA's procedure to inform you of new and existing programs to keep you up to date should you be contacted by a business partner.  If ever a doubt, visit our web site (www.cawa.org) or contact our office for updated programs and business partners.
